Right I was thinking for some reason about consoles.

Now all 3 of the new console makers probably started developing seriously their consoles at about the same time. Everyone appears to know that the Xbox360 was never going to be called the Xbox 2 as it seems inferior to say the old grannies in the street, "what do i buy? PS3 or xbox2? PS3 is newer" You know, they sound a model or two behind. So they had to come up with a new name. We now know they called it the 360. However, 360 degrees is defined as one REVOLUTION, which was i believe what everyone believed the Wii to be called back then.

Now my question is this - could the xbox originally wanted to be called the xbox revolution, and Wii got in and announced the "Nintendo Revolution" before they managed, so they had a quick rethink and just reworded revolution to 360?

EDIT: Just seen my pants grammar, too tired to fix it sorry.

You could probably spend days looking into possible hidden meanings between the names of each of the consoles, but it could also be one big coincidence between the naming of the systems, I've not really looking into it that much.

Like i said, just a weird thought that popped into my head when my thoughts ran off on a tangeant

I thought they called it Xbox360, just to get the 3 in there.

is PS3 vs XBox360

I agree with the PS3 vs Xbox2, and you automatically assume 3 is better...
