I was just browsing the forums and out of nowhere my screen turned green and the pc made a loud peeeeep noice. So I turned it off. But all seems fine now. Any ideas what may of cause this. Slight voltage drop?
Could be a lot of things, really. It could have been overheating, undervolting, excessive droop, or any number of software issues, particularly related to video drivers.
if you're using a DVI-->VGA adapter, you must ensure that the DVI adapter is screwed in to the gfx card firmly. even a millimeter of wobble can cause the screen to do weird things (INCLUDING going green)
It's the first time it's done it. Checked my cpu temp (Sitting around 42). Played battlefield 2 a lot recently and that runs fine. Got a tagan u35 psu. Also got surge protection.
"Aod" don't think it's that, because the pc would make a peeeeeeep sound.
probably just a memory management bug. Could have been caused by voltage fluctuations or just a small bug in vista (there probably are a few at the moment). So long as it doesnt happen again I wouldnt think its much to worry about.
