As title... where are the spark plugs on these engines?

Open the bonnet and all you see is the rocker cover. A mate has a 306 1.4, my mum has a 206 1.4 and I was doing an oil change on a 106 1.1 the other week but still couldn't see the bloody things.

Am I blind or are they in a really weird place?

In the red box, between the injectors. Later engines use a coilpack which ists on top of the sparks, so you probably couldn't see them.

Cheers Neil.

So are the spark plugs between each injector, for example

IJ > SPARK > IJ > SPARK etc etc

I could see the injectors, just not the spark plugs and yeah, they're all fairly new cars (oldest is a T reg) so probably have the coilpacks.

The injectors are actually slightly lower than the spark plugs, just that photo doesn't show it that well. IF they are later cars they will have a grey rocker cover and the coilpack looks like a long black box which sits where the HT leads enter the head casting on that photo. It totally covers the spark plugs and most of the injectors too.

EDIT: It has to be removed to change the spark plugs, and it has moulded in connectors which sit diectly on top of the spark plugs.

Do the spark plugs and coil packs all come out together as one piece once the bolts have been removed?

Just seen your edit above... so once the coil pack has been removed, it's basically a case of unscrewing the spark plugs?
