For anyone who's listened to the new pendulum album (Or anyone who hasn't, but doubt you can help:D)

The Island - Pt 2, The main bit at the start
Encoder, The Doo doo doo....doo doo doo bit at the start

Yes, Great descriptions but where do I recognise these from?

Well the first one sounds a little bit like Zombie Nation. Don't recognise the second. One of the tracks had a bit that sounds like another Prodigy track.

Nope, its not Zombie nation.

Definetly recognise them from somewhere else (ie ripped off from someone else) but cant figure out where. Never heard the album before anyway either.

Bit of a bump, but the Encoder "duh duh duh!" reminds me of "Eye of the Tiger".

Also, what the hell is the lead singer playing at on Watercolour and Witchcraft?
Between every single line, he takes a ****ING HUGE breath in, right on top of the mic. Seriously, how did the producer/manager/QualityControlGuy let it get out of the studio?
Just terrible and ruins any atmosphere in the song. It's really not hard to lean away from the mic for that split second where you need to breathe.

Set Me On Fire; I like the female vocals in this, but the guy that comes in now and then and goes "ya ya ya ya ya" just kills it. Why would you put that in a song? WHY!?!?!

One last thing, the style of Encoder.... 80's pop much? :D

/rant.

You're probably mistaking this Pendulum track for every other track they've released in the past 4 years, since they all sound identical.

Well said!

It's a shame, they did an Essential Mix on Radio 1 a few years back and it's an absolute belter, lots of their older more raw tracks in there, mixed with some really good choices from across the DnB spectrum.

The crap they churn out now though is just awful.

yeah i've got a few mixes by them at various events and seen them when they were just hitting the scene at global gathering etc, they were absolutely awesome back then - clever mixing with awesome tune selection....

shame now they just play jump up and don't do anything special...
