Penny up the Wall

I'm just sharing a thought. I don't want thread lock.

I guess the app would be a bad thing as only the desperate would play. The thing is, they could actually double.

It's positive expected value to play, but most will turn it down because it's their savings. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush and all that. Or four in the bush in this case.

There is no point playing if you can't cash out. If you can cash out, it's classed as gambling. I'm surprised this app doesn't exist already.

Everyone would play it with like £10. Once they get a taste of a win they will bid more. The app would be a monster.

It does, in many, many forms. Roulette being the most obvious. Spread betting being another. You're reinventing gambling the way it was thousands of years ago.

This is differemt. Say you are drunk and can't play games. You just want an instant result. You can just click and see.

I’m not planning to make the app, but it lives in my subconscious. I could start a Kickstarter to fund the gambling fees, but why would anyone donate?

The app would be pure evil (if you lose), or the best thing ever.

If you gambled 100k and won, you’d get 180k back. I’ll drop my take to 4% so 192k (before taxes). 10p will be the minimum.

You could go as high as you wanted. How much would you have the balls to play with?
