got laptop off brother in law a short while ago, it has Intel T7350 'Penryn' Dual-Core processor, how hot do these run? and can one adjust the clock frequencies on laptop CPUs? and finally is speedstep why my CPU clock keeps going down to 1.5Ghz all the time instead of 2.0Ghz?

They run fairly warm, but they're designed to take the heat. Download CoreTemp to check.

Overclocking is most likely impossible :)

sweet, speedstep gets disabled when your running demanding applications such as games right? downloaded Core Temp. and it lists temperature of Core 0 at 34*C and Core 1 at 33*C though basically idle, only surfing the internet, etc.
