Just posting from work after my computer decided to die on me last night. There was a nice burning smell followed by the computer suddenly switching off... turns out my PSU is dead.

So I am on the market for a new case, but I have a problem because my computer is so old I am not sure if new PSUs are compatable? I need the 1cm square connector which I think is called ATX12v. Does this connector come on all modern PSUs? This is an old P4, socket 478 and no hyperthreading.

It seems that buying a new PSU on it's own would be a false economy because I can't find many for less than a new case. Not to mention my current case was bought back in 2001! So, I am looking to upgrade the case to something black and hopefully not too ugly.

At the moment I am thinking the ASUS TA-210. Does anyone have any opinions on this case and know if it works with my aging Pentium 4?

Thanks

thats the 4pin p4 connector and all the new psu's i have seen have this this.

the only thing that can change if you buy a case and use the psu that cam with it is it might not have a 24pin connector, it may only have a 20 pin connector.
