got the following of a chip
how do i interpret it and find out if it has HT

1.8GHz/256/400/1.75V
sl5vj/costarica
3151a622-0173

thanks

On that clock speed do not think it had HT.

HT was intoduced with the 3.06 Northwood then later added on the 2.4 & higher Prescotts.

Not quite right, it was also added to ALL 800FSB Northwoods. The first Northwood it was added to quite rightly was the 3.06 (533FSB).

ok thx

1.8GHz/256/400/1.75V
sl5vj/costarica

here is what im guessing at
1.8GHz cpu speed
256 cache?
400 FSB ?
1.75V voltage
sl5vj chip code like opterons have cab2e etc?
costa rica place of manufacture

is the bottom line the individual chips identifier code
or does it mean something which has to be interpreted like on athlons

I heard that the willemitte cores are the worst when it comes to P4? a friend has one and was doing a bit of research on it for him. Not sure if that is true, I never owned a p4 or anything myself.
