Got an old (ok not too old) mobo, with a P4 proc. It's the newer type, hyper threading etc. Only problem is, no CPU cooler! What chipset are these chips? Any recommendations on a cooler? It wont be OC'd or anything, just normal computing.

Thanks in advance:D

You need to check what the label on the actual processor is. It should have a label for its socket, it might be one of the earliest Prescott cores on socket 478, or socket 775.

On top of the proc it says ' Intel 04 Pentium 4 3.00GHZ/1M/800 SL7PM PHILIPPINES 7547B499' then at the bottom '6551B552 0097'.

Although i just realised i'm being lazy/stupid, just googled the mobo, P4i65G, it's a 478 socket:D

Thanks for the reply,

Shall google then ask next time:D
