I am in the middle of upgrading my pc (and not going that well... having problems with the PSU buzzing/clicking).

I am looking for a new, good CPU cooler... at the moment after my pc being on for 10 minutes it sounds like there is a train in my room. Having Spent £200 on my computer upgrading already... I'll probibly end up spending another £200... so all suggestions would be appreciated... I'm not 100% sure on CPU coolers.

The good news is that cooler comes with a d12sl12 so its very quiet. The bad news is its inferior to the xp-120 and significantly inferior to the ninja, ultra 120 etc. See here.

@ the OP, are you sure its the cpu cooler causing the problem?
Its very likely that it is, but if you haven't already its worth just having a good listen and stopping a few fans temporarily to make sure its the cpu cooler that's causing the problem.

You may have some fan controller options in the bios that can lower the fan speed, worth a look.

Otherwise, i'd have to agree the freezer 7 should be perfect.

after removing me cpu cooler... I found a thick layer of dust in and on my heatsink... cleaning that off has stopped it...

but how that much dust got in I dont know...
