Hey all,

Couple of questions.

Can you use normal DDR with the cheap £90 Pentium Dual core?
Also could you recommend me a cheap compatible motherboard to use it on, can be DDR2 if it needs to :)

Thanks

Jamie

If I were you I'd go for an Asus 945X chipset based motherboard as only the 945X, 955X and 975X properly support Pentium D's (the nForce4 has issues with some of them).

But if you do that you'll have to get DDR2 as I don't think any motherboards that support Dual core Pentiums use DDR.

Sorry also need it to be PCI Express X16 :)

Thanks for the opinions so far.

Im just looking for the cheapest DDR2 board that supports the cheap dual core chip.
Also a board that supports the same chip but with DDR.

Thanks
