Pentium D 820 vs Opty 146

Heya,

Basically I have two systems one a Pentium D 820 2.8Ghz and an Opteron [email protected] and i think I am not getting the best benefits out of them.

I want to throw all my good 'gear' into one system but which CPU would you say should perform the best?

Any thoughts welcome.

Thats the thing I think I am hindering them in some way. Pentium seems to perform best.

hmmm 2.8ghz p4 vs 2.8ghz a64 athlon will wipe floor on single threaded stuff, im assuming the p4 is dual core or something, so will 'feel' faster. Depends what you want to do, if its games keep the amd
