Right my team at work are trying to decide if we should get either the 925 or the E4300 for our workstations, they'll be going into the IT Suites here at the college for student work e.g. Macromedia Suite, Office Suite, Photoshop, Premier Pro etc.

Just wondering which will be best?

Cheers :)

E4300's are definatly the way forward, while they run at lower Mhz, they do more work per cycle, and will prove to be considerably faster than Pentium 925's.

Not only that, you'll probably be saving around 30W's per computer in average power utilization. So if your running a significant number of computers, you could be talking about a 'fair' power saving. So if you run into management who still believe MHZ > All, the 'green' factor of the E4300 could be a card worth playing.

Either way get the E4300's (Or if you can get them the 2Ghz E4400's), and your students will love you :)
Yeah might be a good card to play. Will have a word with management sometime today. :)

Also if noise consideration is a factor, you'd be pretty happy with the C2Ds as their output at stock speed is so low that just about dead silent cooling is possible.

That is also a very good point, the Suites are rather loud and a few of the members of staff do complain. I'll get a nice spec setup for this.

Thanks for the help guys, been great. :)
