Pentium D and Core 2 Duo - Same Stock HSF?

Hi,

Just brought a OEM Core 2 E6300 (1.86GHz). I believe the OEM version doesn't come with a heatsink + fan.

I have a Pentium D 805 (2.66GHz) spare stock intel HSF. Are they exactly the same HSF? If not, will the 805 HSF work? Not planning to OC - as its just for my sister to play on the net. If I ever upgrade my mobo, I'll nick the CPU off her!

Yep, that looks absolutely identical to the 6300 cooler!

Thanks, if it doesn't fit, I'm sure loads of people have a spare E6300 HSF ready to throw at me!
