Clocking a pentium D at 3.2ghz and looking for a new cooler to replace the stock one I am using. Its running a tad hot. Whats the max temp for one of these.?

£30 max for the cooler.

Cheers.

i run mine at 4ghz at 60c load with the fan on medium settings with a thermalright ultra 120 extreme (scythe s-flex fan).. it also runs at 4.2ghz but temps rise to 70c load and werent happy with that.

I have got a Big typhoon vx cooler for my Pentium D 805 as it was getting toasty with the original when oc'in. Its done the job tho its around 42 idle and 52/54 underload :)

Nice oc tsj !!

Intel reccommends that you don't exceed 65C I think. Mine was idle at about 50C and 68 load!!! (in winter!) but i replaced stock cooler with Arctic Freezer 7 and it initially dropped to about 33C idle and 48C load. That was in the winter. Now in the summer it has risen to about 40C idle / 53C load but is still fine. Freezer 7 is only about £10 and is reliable.
