Pentium D dual core

I know that most people consider AMD processors to be better for games; but would a Pentium D dual core 930 or 940 be good for games as well? Would the latter be worth an extra £190 performance-wise?

If you are goinng to be playing games then go the AMD route.

They are faster in games and the X2 range of cpus beats the 900 series intel dual cores in every benchmark.

^^^above post is correct.Of course it would be good for gaming,its just that the amd route works out cheaper.

The P-D 900 series is far superior to the P-D 800 series

Despite this though the X2 is a far better choice. It's faster, cooler and cheaper
