Pentium D overclock?

So back to subject i rekon the max you can go is 3.6 max so if you are going to overclock it i think you should go to 3.5 so your stock fan can keep up.

But when you get the fan i rekon about 3.7 - 8?

yeah ive always had around the 3.5 mark on stock now i just need to find out how to unlock my bios settings :P because they are most defiantly locked and jordan are you overclocking yours? :P

yeah you need to unlock the bios settings to even start overclocking because most overclocking is done in the bios

Well, i wouldn't jump stright into it. I would wait untill someone tells you what to do or what not to do ect.

So wait till later on.

yeah jordan maybe do it tommorow when im awake and not too tired but if i learn tonight i will write out what to do :P do you want to come help me tommorow aswell if i get the chance to do it? :)

As someone mentioned before, the motherboards are made for HP and have the bois locked, so you can’t over clocker. Also I don’t think you can unlock the BOIS.

Unlock the bios? The bios is a collection of code of a specified size. If your motherboard, or very close to it, is available without HP branding there's a chance of flashing to a different bios which will allow you to overclock.
There's also a chance you'll kill your board.

On the other hand, if you're willing to put some time into it, it's definitely possible to rewrite your bios to allow overclocking. This will be difficult and time consuming.
