Pentium D running hot

hi all - i have heard that the pentium D always runs hot but i think i might have an issue

I have a DualCore Intel Pentium D 925 3000 MHz
And i am monitoring the temps with sensor view pro 3.2

My idle temp is about 57c and when i am just using the internet or writing messages on forums like now its average around 60c and it hits 70c+ playing games

Is this normal - i have cleaned out the chassis and got rid of the dust but i'm sure thats way to hot and i think it is affecting performance!

A bit on the high side but it is a PentiumD, it's like installing a small furnace into the motherboard... :D
I don't think the 9--'s should be that bad though, 8--'s were awful. Have you got any intake/exhaust fans on your case?
What cooler are you using?

Don't think it should affect performance too much though, it takes 90 degree temps before they throttle down? (Might be lies, my shoddy memory clouds the issue)

Pentium Ds do run hot, and there well designed for it, 70*C isn't any concern for them! they'll run at that temperature all day :)
