hi guys,

may i check with u whether the Pentium M cpu is 478 pins or 479 pins?

i've researched and some websites mentioned that they are 478 while some mentioned that they are 479. i'm just confused...

They're socket 479. You need a CT-479 converter in order to run them on supported socket 478 motherboards. There are also some desktop boards that support socket 479 natively.

get rid of the ebay link before a don sees it, its against the rules

yes that board supports pentium m's :)

as it still has 478 pins, there layout is slightly different and therefor they dont work in normal 478 boards, this is why there dubbed 479, as trojan metioned there are a couple of native support boards, and a series of asus boards supported with an adapter
