Penumbra series?

Hi all

A friend of mine reccomended that i play the penumbra games
I have seen some on steam but am just wondering excactly how many games there are in the series and also what order to get them in?

three but only two are proper games - Requiem is really just a puzzle game based on the puzzle elements of the previous games and has no discernable narrative.

Play Overture before Black plague - just keep in mind that black plague improves on the combat as Overtures is a little 'unique'.

Im currently playing Overture and I am impressed. It makes me remember what a real game is all about
