There's a Tesco petrol station near work I go to, and the stupidity of people really amazes me.
The entrance is off a roundabout which also serves the entrance to the tescos store car park on a different exit, the whole roundabout has yellow hash box for no stopping.
There is quite a large bit of dead space on the petrol station forecourt before the actual pumps.
So when all the pumps are being used clever people rather than pick a pump to queue behind decide to sit at the entrance. This in turn backs up the traffic all around the roundabout and blocks off *** other exits. The space infront of the pumps is rather large and could fit loads of cars in queued up behind specific pumps.
Tonight I just got ticked off with it, tooted my horn at one point, and when it got to just one car infront of me who was just sitting there I went round them to queue at a pump. Note I didn't go round them to a free pump, I merely picked one to sit and wait behind.
The woman in the car I went round wasn't happy, she said I was impatient etc etc. I explained patience had nothing to do with it, it was common sense to stop traffic backing up, she however just said I wanted to get infront of her. Wish I said she could gladly go infront of me as all I wanted to do was get rid of the jam, but didn't think of it at the time.
Anyyway she kept moaning how I just wanted to get infront of her so I just walked off and waited in the car, and I'd say she was well into her 50s so not a young pup (sorry to anyone well in their 50s )
I was just astounded that the woman could only think that the only reason for me pulling infront was as I wanted to go first, she really wouldn't accept that by her sitting there she was causing a problem.
The really annoying thing is the station used to have a sign telling people to pull forward but it's been replaced with one saying about their new opening times due to a refit
Luckily pretty much everyone around me agreed and laughed at her which was nice
I know it's not very interesting, but just bugged me
