I come back to my car after classes at uni to find that. The silver Ka driver is useless, seriously. Its not like they have an excuse because it had been raining, and you can see from the previous car that the dry patch is perfectly within their own space, so they cant use the excuse that another car forced them into that tight space so close to mine.

There was plenty of room behind me to get out ok, but still, damn.

I did leave a note under their wiper expressing my feelings.

Is that actually touching ? I park in Manchester center every day so annoying when people take 2 spaces or box you in so tight.

No not quite, but still, its pretty close, I bet they touched whilst in the parking manouvre and then edged forwards slightly to that position.

see here:

Had to move my car yesterday at work to the person behind me out.

At the same time, another 2 people were moving to allow another out (we're in a kind of L shape at the front of a building, I was parked in the short bit), and one of them was struggling so much in a space that you could have turned a bus round in.

I swear some people in the country have got their licence from sending in 2 tokens on the back of a box of Coco Pops

yup, same thing happened to me just now. a volvo 340 decided to park about 1/2 foot off my front bumper.. and there was nothing infront of him!!

someone suggested i should bump it out the way. yeh. renault vs volvo :p

lol, i saw a fair bit of that kind of thing yesterday on my street, on my way out i saw a silver ka touching the back bumper of a punto. On the way back the ka was gone, but there was a corsa in the space behind where it was, with the bonnet caved in. A few hours later, and I witnessed a girl trying to parallel park a micra, she was reversing it at a right angle to the kerb! She ended up getting out to investigate the problem, its a MICRA for gods sake, not a 40ft artic!

My years ago in my irresponsible youth , my Volvo got jammed in by a badly parked white escort van. I carefully rolled my car forward so the bumpers touched , switched on the engine , slipped the autobox into drive and gently pressed the accelerator. 30s later I pulled away leaving a white van parked at 45 degrees to the kerb :)

Not big & not clever but it was better than what I wanted to do ;)

Lol, Mr Bean style :D

I just experianced some of this awful parking as I finished work today. I returned to my car thinking I could just jump in and go home.....

I could get the door open 3 inches :|

Lucky the passenger side was unobstructed :)

It is not always bad parking though, sometimes you have these private companies with car parks and they allow about an inch either side between cars, so they can cram more cars in.

My mate came back to his car once and found that our neighbour had parked close to him! How close? Well look at this picture

Yeah ive had that happen, when i came out of the local supermarket once some berk left me about 2 inches to get in, but on their other side they had about 20ft of space, so i went back into the supermarket and got them to get whoever it was over the tannoy, then i told the git to shift it, and learn to park, and i also told them they were lucky as if i didnt have a new car i would have just started ramming my door into theirs until i made enough space to get in so by the time they came out theirs would have been caved in. :D

Thats the problem I have - I work in a supermarket :( And yep the guy had 3 clear spaces to his right as well.

Lateset thing however is management telling us where we can and cannot park - but we don't get anything marked as staff only....

Some dizzy cow I used to know- "thats why they're called bumpers, so can bump up against the car infront or behind when parking."
