right, i`ve been asked to take some photos for someone leaving party. it`ll be at night, loads of people there, and i just have to walk aorund and capture some moments. now i have a 300d, it suits me fine. but im looking for a new lens, because my kit lens doesnt seems to be focusing properly on auto mode anymor. i need one that is a good all round lens, thats good for taking people pictures. one that works well in lowish light as well.

any suggestions?

:)

should i get a flashgun instead, and just try and fix my kit lens.

if so what flashgun?

they paying me 150 quid, which im not fussed about, so ill use that as my buget for new gear.

A good, budget low light lens is the Canon 50mm F/1.8. Look around it can be had for betwee £60 - £70.

If your looking for something for more general use on a low budget then it would be your kit lens that will be doing the tricks on that I think.

Got enough memory to shoot all night? Please don't leave it in Auto mode!!
