Did it work?

How well is V2 working?

Im tempted to wait until 2.0.1 although my lack of EDGE detection and lack of vibrate is now annoying me...

Im currently:

1.1.4, T-Mobile and ZiPhoned, I don't know which bootloader, I assume it came with 4.6 (One of the last iPhones sold) but now it could be 3.9 as ZiPhone downgraded it? Anyway of finding out?

Im paranoid about bricking it :p

ZiPhone will have downgraded it, but there's no reason why you can't get it back to standard with BootNeuter and iTunes, then do it with pwnage. I don't think the new firmware is fussed about the baseband though, so the hacky one that ZiPhone put on should work just fine.

I don't want to tempt fate, but it's almost impossible to brick the iPhone to the point of no return with any of these tools.. unless you do something really really stupid :)

Well Ideally i'd like to get it back to a decent 4.6...

So if I do this:

1. Restore using iTunes downloaded firmware
2. Make the pwnage firmware and follow the instructions
3. When rebooting to bootneuter, unlock and upgrade to 4.6

All good?

I got my iPhone a month or so back when they dropped to £169.
Back then I upgraded to 1.1.4 and used pwnage to unlock and jailbreak.

When the new v2.0 software came out I restored my iPhone back to a retail 1.1.4 and then upgraded via iTunes to v2. I then activated my PAYG O2 sim via iTunes. That has been working great since the 11th.

Just used v2 pwnage to unlock and jailbreak my iPhone without issue (went from an activated retail v2 to an unlocked/jailbreaked v2)

Restore back to stock 1.1.4 then jailbreak with iliberty+ then unlock with bootneuter.

Then wait till all the hype is over and decide of 2.0 is really worth losing it all

I'm still holding on, only reason I see 2.0 for is the saving images from safari but I can use capture for now.

Well its an idea but ideally I don't want to have to do this more than once...

If I do it its going to V2...

Tuesday might mean V2.0.1 tho but it'd still need to be bootneuter'd

*shrug* :(

Has anyone done this yet??
I am curious i have an 1.4 iPhone (first gen) that i am going to put on the bay, but would like to put 2.0 on it first.
Anyone know the best way to do it? :)

I've made the jump from 1.1.4 to V2.0 firmware on my 16Gig V1 iPhone

I used winpwn and followed the instructions in this http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=1572 all the software you will need is downloadable form the links in step one of the tutorial.

Everything went smoothly, I did notice a couple of the menus in the settings screen were a bit sluggish but after a while they settled down and now everything is fine. If I spot any bugs I'll report back on them.

Forgot to say, I did this on a machine with Vista 32 ultimate installed.

Where you running 1.4 unlocked with ZiPhone?

Yes previously using 1.1.4 unlocked/Jailbraked using ZiPhone. I've had no problems with either 1.1.4 or the newly installed V2.0

I upgraded to the V2.0 firmware using itunes, I let itunes make a backup of my contacts, music and photos. Once it was upgraded and itunes asked me to activate by itunes I just used Winpwn and it worked fine, I'm using my Vodafone sim with no problems.
