Lol yeah when I was 15 I played it with a load of mates, It wast too bad at the time but I wouldnt play it now.

My son played it loads a couple of years back. Loved it, but he was 13!
We saw it advertised on telly the other night and he said it looked nothing like how they showed it.

Overlooked due to childish visuals and shallow combat, but in the grand scheme of things it has far more depth and content than any other MMO. It depends really on what your into, RuneScape is a game thats based on squares, rather than completely free movement, which again puts a lot of people off. Its easily played casual and hardcore, with both having access to end game content, unlike WoW etc. where you have to put ridiculous amounts of time and effort just to be considered normal by its standards.
That being said though, RuneScape has a pretty god awful community, but nothing as bad as WoW or Tera. Everquest is the only one that trumps it in terms of a decent community. Then again, going into any MMO expecting an overall good experience with the community is like going into DFS expecting a three course meal.
It is just accessible, easy going and laid back, with plenty of content for hardcore players. In my opinion its by far the best MMO, but there will be an army of WoW players to disagree, I'm sure.

I used to play this back at school, saw it advertised on TV the other day....the game has grown a bit since i played lol.

I played this a lot back in school, played it a couple of times in the last month to see what its like now. I need membership to really do anything now though (my bank is full of members stuff, and my stats are too high for the free game to be interesting)
Once you get past the graphics, its not that bad of a game. They seem to be changing the combat system massively soon to a more modern experience, so it will be interesting to see how it pans out. Currently the gameplay is more or less the same as it was when I played it 7 years ago.

If you use this to diminish other peoples opinions for no reason you are an idiot. Particularly if it just due to someone having a different opinion to you on what they enjoy more, really ****ing dumbest smiley on these forums.
