Hi all,

I've been really struggling to decide on a new 27" monitor to pair with my new build.

As per title I have a 3600x with an RTX 2070 Super and my old Asus VG278H monitor isn't cutting it. In fact due to the lack of DVI out on recent GPU's I haven't even managed to get the right DisplayPort -> DVI-D cable for the 120hz refresh rate yet.

I'm looking for the right monitor primarily for FPS Gaming (COD / Overwatch / Battlefield etc etc )

As proper 4k fps gaming is a stretch for pretty much all GPU's at the moment I'm really struggling to decide between QHD or IPS / 4k (with a reasonable refresh and response time)..

The current offer on Dell S2719DGF at £350 seems like a bit of a steal at the moment, but with a budget of up to £650/£700 am I making the right decision? If I go that way I'll probs use the Dell and ASUS, then replace the ASUS next year when new panels come out (LG nano?) ..

I'm not massive fan of curved and don't see any massive benefit in UW although haven't really done a mass of research. Any advice appreciated.

Thanks @EsaT ..

Pretty much confirms my research. I'm comfortable the Dell will be a big upgrade to what I have and at £350 I actually feel like Im getting a bargain. It'll tide me over for quite a while and be a brilliant 2nd screen at some stage
