'Performance and Energy' slider in W10 settings (5800X)

Hi all,

Just wondering what baring on performance the 'Performance and Energy' slider under 'Power & Sleep' in the Windows 10 settings app has?

At present my PC is on the 'Balanced' profile in power options in control panel.
