So recently guys I've gone and bought a new psu and some more ram, and ever since then, I've been seeing performance issues within my system, hang ups if you will and sometimes I'm not even doing anything intensive.

I was doing some uni essay and bam, hangs for like 2 minutes, it's pathetic.

I upgraded my stock psu and stock ram to the following:

and

and now my computer is slowly turning into crap.

i've reset the bios to their defaults, but nothing.

any advice?

No BSODS.
Not got an SSD either.

I do not have a sandy bridge set-up, I have not bought some of them parts yet, I'm currently running:

the i5-750 on a intel DP55WB motherboard.

The settings you have in the BIOS are fine for the new RAM apart from tRASmin which should be 27.

You could also try upping the Memory Voltage a touch. The Kingston HyperX Grey usually runs at ~1.5V but it won't hurt to up the voltage to 1.55V to see if that's the issue.

Finally what is the make/model/specification of your old 4GB kit so I can see if it will run at the same settings as the new RAM.

Okies, I'll go and change that in the settings right away!
