The red stuff is my blood, might need a medic ¬_¬ (not...heh)

Looking at fashion mags at work sometimes I always see page spreads like this sort but obviously with text and whatnot in the blank areas. Harder than it seems, getting the glass to look right in one shot, found I had to underexpose heavily then bring out the details slowly in PS after and dodge tool the grey BG to white.

Also dust on the objects is a pain in the butt when doing macros :s

Exif says f1.0, twas actually 2.8.

Thanks guys, I did design the site from scratch, I'm quite used to building things from scratch with just a rough idea in my head so decided to do that instead of use a template or backend. CSS nuts will shoot me for using an iframe but it's fast for me to work with and it works on all browers so I just stuck with it :)

Oh thats excellent. A new job would mean you wouldnt have to fork out on some buget nikon brand. Good luck ... :)

O RLY!? :p

D200 + 17-55 2.8-G......................£2100
Hoya 77mm HMC PRO-1 UV........£44
Hoya 77mm CPL.........................£59
SB800 + Stofen.........................£286
.............................................£2489

And at a later date
AFS-G VR 70-200mm...............1185

After extensive research and sample viewing and checking out in shops etc I found out those 2 are Nikons 2 most prized lenses for edge to edge sharpness at any setting. SHould be cool I think

¬_¬

Well those 2 lenses alone will see me through 95% (bar macro) of everything I need pretty much and they are flagship lenses so won't ever need an upgrade for them =)

I did consider IR but if you've ever been to Gosport you will see there is nothing really here to make use of it and they don't come cheap those IR filters ! - Having had a cheap one before and experiencing nothing but carp IR !

Your kidding arent you ? I think everything you have photographed outdoors would look great in infra red. If you would like you could lend my 58mm hoya R72 to see if you'd use it. I get no use out of mine. But trust me, I really do live in a non photographic town!

It's probably because of the cheap one I had before that put me off it to be honest but with time I'd probably get into it again.

No lenses here that have a 58mm thread either but thanks for the offer!

Yeah the d70 is a good cam for IR but the d200 is said to be not so good, it makes up for the lack of sensitive IR by getting skin tones and detail extremely accurate according to various comparisons I have read.

the sb600 functions as a slave in ittl mode but the sb800 has master and slave, I suppose could get the 600 first then get the 800 when the function is needed but postart have a studio optical light set where the 800 would be put to good use as an optical master..unless there is something massively sinister I have mistook on :S

800 also looks nicer </girly mode> :p
