What perks (benefits) do you get with the job? Normally it's something like a company car, loan laptop, air miles, fuel card, business class airline, relocation package, 3x pay Christmas day etc. Just thought it would be interesting to compare.

For me, I've had a couple of unusual ones.

Current employer - gives me half a day paid off work (4 hours) to participate in Christmas shopping! Every December (2010, 2011, 2012 so far). 27 days annual leave as well, instead of the usual 25 which is nice (previous employer only gave me 20 days).

Previous employer - only 20 days annual leave but I had free lunch for the first 4 years I was there! 2003-6. Sandwiches, yoghurts, fruit, and hot drinks as well without needing to contribute to the 'tea kitty' as it was on the company. In 2007, the recession hit, so they had to make job cuts, and the free lunches went as well. Nice perk while it lasted though.

It's the reverse for me, I enjoy giving out bonuses and benefits to my employees. I am always going to strive to be the dam coolest boss to work for :D
Hopefully telling one of my guys tomorrow of a $5k bonus he'll get if he hits his goals.

On the odd days when I'm the most senior staffmember, I always endeavour to be awesome like that. Obviously, I can't hand out bonuses or stuff like that, but I definitely try to let everyone leave on the dot at closing rather than about 30 to 45 minutes later :)

Don't work there anymore, as I was only there for a year for a placement year in the middle of my degree (graduate 2014), but when I was with Jaguar Land Rover, I got the opportunity to drive most of their cars, and also get 20% of selected specs of cars to buy, and got a decent holiday allowance too (can't remember exact amount, but I'm pretty sure it was high 20s) Also, all managers get the option of a company car.

I manage a hotel in a small group, saying I'm only 23 that's not bad going, but the benefits suck. I get 50% off food in our pub, but that's it. And I tend to work a 65 to 70 hour week.

I need a new job!

Being self employee sucks although some of my suppliers are rather nice come Christmas Arnold Clark are prone to giving us free beer and our radio supplier gives us as many free branded air fresheners as we can carry

Other than that with running a taxi business it's pretty grim in terms of freebies or perks
