Permanently removing a radiator

Also a CH loop "service". Just a sanity check really.

1. Jam ball/float valve shut in CH tank in loft
2. Clean out gunk from the tank (it's not nice..)
3. Make sure all radiator valves are open
4. Drain system through the drain tap
5. Scrub/clean empty tank
6. Remove radiator and cap both pipes (soldered)
7. Release ball/flat valve in CH tank to refill
8. Once refilled, turn heating on but warm only, not hot
9. Add a load of inhibitor to tank
10. Bleed rads
11. Whack the heating up
12. Pray

Any body experienced this before and would do this any other way?
