Hello,

I am having issues. Basically I have a Maxtor OneTouch4 Mini 160gb USB hard drive.
I have a laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium.

My hard drive has created a folder named "e37cb46602e6176c8f68c6e8" and within it, 26 folders all randomly numbered.

In each of these sub-folders are 3 files. I have no idea what these are or how they got there, but I didn't create them.

Now when I go to delete e37cb46602e6176c8f68c6e8, I get an error message come up saying :-

"You need permission to perform this action.

You require permission from Sarah-HP\Sarah to make changes to this folder.
"

I am logged on as Sarah, so I have no idea why it is saying this?

Any help on this would be gratefully received as its really starting to bug me.

Thank you.

Tried this, it does not work? I tried changing the owner to Everyone, as everyone has full access rights, and as soon as I change it to everyone and try to delete it, it changes from permission required by Sarah-HP\Sarah, to permission required by Everyone to change this folder?

It seems no matter who the owner is, or what access they require, I cant delete it?

Done it, I have no idea how, I basically had to go into each file and give it individual access rights. What a pain. Never mind, thanks for your help.
