Perplexity Pro AI - free 12 months

I've been using Perplexity for my AI needs and just seen they have an offer of 12 months free for Pro. However, you do have to add your Paypal account There are other offers if you are a Virgin Media Media or O2 customer, but most of us have Paypal

Steps:

1. Access the promo link : perplexity.ai/joi…ion
2. Click on the button "Request 12 months of Perplexity Pro"
3. Create a new account with an e-mail address that is not yet registered
4. Enter the confirmation code that you will receive by e-mail
5. Connect your PayPal account
6. Accept the 12 months offer
7. Log-in to confirm Pro Subscription.

To avoid auto renewal, go to Paypal > Settings > Payments > Cancel Automatic Payments and look for Perplexity and cancel.

Thanks for the tip. Also cleared up a few other automatic payments I had kicking around in PayPal.

Works fine for me. I've done images and other stuff. You can add up to 4 attachments where it has done CV's, cover letters, emails etc within seconds.

Most of those reviews are about the subscriptions, not the app itself, cancel the recurring payment and you're golden. But have you tried it yourself or just linking and running?

what do their T&C's say about anonymity/protection/gdpr of any data you submit (would you really upload a cv or cover letter) old adage - if somethings free ....

Of course! All the cool kids are doing it! A redacted version of course - no personal details included.

Upload the job description, upload your CV. Make me a CV and cover letter that matches the job description (obvs a better prompt than that, but you get the idea).

Yeah ofc i'd send it straight in and not humanise it ie spend time tailoring it myself.
