Haven't spotted a thread for this already and thought it would be good to start one, hopefully we can use this thread for any tips, locations, ideas etc, and then also posting resulting shots/videos in later.

Forecast in my area is for some cloud and rain, considering whether to make a trip out at the moment, but as it's a Friday night I will probably head out.

Best time apparently is around midnight tonight but I would guess you will start seeing some meteors after dark coming from the East.

I'll be taking my usual star trails gear, wide angle lens, flash gun, tripod, remote timer/release cable, use a high ISO and 30 second exposures most likely.

Pointless. I have only caught one set of perseids which was cloud free!
The rest have been overcast.

99/100 in the UK any significant astronomical event will be cloudy or overcast.

That's optimistic of you! I was out last year and it was very clear the first night and only slightly cloudy the second. It's just luck as to what you get.

No worries :)
Any type of photography where you are relying on the weather can be frustrating, I'm sure I'll head out, take a 30 minute drive to where I am planning on shooting and it will just be a blanket of clouds, but sometimes you get lucky and it's all the more rewarding. I am sure there are enough of us on here that may be heading out at different locations who will manage to get a clear night.

The weather is reather disappointing.... :( I always look forward to this event (not necessarily to photograph, but just to witness) and the weather in the UK this time of year has let me down so far.
I do have great memories of the Perseids from about 12 years back, in my home town in Sweden. We were right by lake Mälaren and saw the Perseids as a proper 'shower'. There were at least 10 meteors a minute for a couple of hours; it was the most amazing display I've ever seen (right up there with the Aurora Borealis!). I'm hopeful, I WILL see them again at some point! :)

It's full moon, so even if it was clear, it's less than ideal to watch the shower.

But here (Powys) it's dark cloud all around anyway :-)

Well the weather suggests tonight is a writeoff for me but tomorrow around 1am is supposed to be ok...

Just need to decide where to shoot then as unfortunately I currently live near London...

Raining here in Hull so no pictures from me sadly. Can't even see any stars so the cloud must be faily dense here. Shame :(

Where I live the sky that night was 70% clear, however I was too tired to stay up and watch, so missed it all ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Well, the weather was crap Friday and Saturday but took a trip out yesterday as it was the only clear forecasted night. Saw a few meteors as I was setting up, and annoyingly the only one that came in frame when I was shooting was at exactly the time between frames. Still I came back with this, I can vaguely see something meteorish but only on the full image.

Next year the moon won't be out so should be better.
