Persona 3 Reload or 5 Royal

So I think I want to tackle a Persona game but not sure on which to try first, I’ll only be buying one of em

I know there both there own stories any any tips or suggestions for people who played either or both?

My vote goes to P5R. Best rpg I’ve probably ever played. Be warned it’s a very long game

P5R is the better game but it's about double the length, easily.

If you wanted a shorter (but still 40-50 hour game) then P3R is potentially a better intro.

They're both good, depends how much time you can commit, P5R wins on overall quality some but P3R had a lot of improvements that meant it didn't feel miles behind.

I am playing P3R now. Around 20 hours in. The upgrade is nice it feels a lot more like P5R. They are all massive games HLTB puts P3 at 60+ hours so I am a long way off. To be honest you won’t go wrong with either 3, 4 or 5.

I think Persona 5 Royal is the best of the lot. But you can't go wrong with Persona 3 Reload or Persona 4 Golden either - they are all magnificent games.

4 probably a bit too basic compared with the others, in my view anyway. I still liked it but I don't think it's a good intro one.

Persona 5 Royal in particular gives you loads of time. You'll easily be able to do everything without too much optimisation.

I was concerned about the time element as well at first but in all of their games with those elements they are pretty fair about it. Never stressful.

It's total time played I meant more than in-game time to do stuff. P5R is easily a 100 hour game so it's your ability to spend that much time on the game really.

Both are great - but P5R for a bigger, more polished experience, a better story and much better, varied "dungeons".
