Not after medical advice, just personal experiences.

I had an upper molar removed, the second one from the back, around a month ago, as it was giving me issues for several months, and treatment (root canal, antibiotics) was not working. Eventually my usual dentist decided to remove it a month ago, and it was a good decision as there was a fairly big abscess connected to one of the roots. I have had a temporary bridge for the last month - it's ok for everything except tough foods like meat. I have an appointment next week to discuss a permanent solution, and I think we will discuss option of dental bridge (pontic + abutment each side) vs dental implant. In my circumstance, I know I grind my teeth from stress at night so I often wear a mouthguard, so I want something robust. But I also have Crohn's disease and I think the medication I am on can lead to weaker bones, so this could affect an implant.

Anyway, if anyone had an implant or a bridge, how much did you pay, how comfortable is it, did you need it replacing after a while, and did you have any issues afterwards?
