So i'm only willing to buy a gfx card with 3 years warranty, this narrows my choice of 7970 to 3 brands.

Asus, MSI, Gigabyte.

Asus currently has only the 3 slot beast which doesnt lend it self well when going xfire.

MSI and Gigabyte both have really good card the lightning and Windforce.

The WF is sub £400 and the lightning is £440.

I've narrowed it down to these two, which has better warranty, anyone with personal experience?

Then theres the 680 which i've changed my mind about twice, sticking with AMD.

You shouldn't have a problem with MSI or Gigabyte.

Gigabyte have a UK RMA centre and by all accounts they deal with things pretty quickly.

MSI have deals with their major re-sellers to deal with the warranty. So if you buy from OcUK then OcUK will deal with the warranty for 3 years.

My experience of customer support as follows:

Asus - graphics card and mobos have need to be replaced, terrible support, took forever and kick up a massive fuss, will NEVER buy another product from them.

friend had a gigabyte board die a month after warranty, they replaced it with a new model no questions asked.

Not had an msi product issue so cant comment on them, but if its under warranty and ocuk are looking after it then I wouldnt expect any issues.

On a side note, had corsair headset die, inital response was poor, not being handled well by email but a freephone call from skype to the us customer support and the issue was resolved quickly.
