Hello folks,

I'm after some opinions here - not to inform a buy choice, or anything like that, just out of interest.

What's your favourite case? For any job (i.e. we're not limiting to a specific role)?

Maybe it's a mini-ITX beauty that you built an HTPC in, maybe it's a £450 monster you'll never own but always lusted after, maybe it's a nondescript chassis that promises so much to the modder on a budget...

Only rules are these:
1) Must be a past or present production model PC case (i.e. no ham radios/fridges/SNES that have been modded, no scratch-builds).
1a) As an addemdum, it's the case we're here for, not the mod job, so mods don't count (though the start point may well)
2) You must include a photo or link to one, so people can see what you're on about
3) It's distinctly more interesting if you give even a small explanation as to why you chose what you chose!

Personally...

Cooler Master Centurion 5 - For no other reason than it housed and continues to house my first ever entirely-built-by-hand-from-components PC. No bundles, no barebones, no preinstalled OS, just me and a massive fear of blowing it all up.

Mountainmods U2-UFO. Smaller than my recent MM Ascension case but strikes a better balance between size and performance.

I like the Lian Li V2000. The sheer size of it is impressive, and it's a great case to stick some watercooling in because of this.

I've owned two now, and it never fails to impress me, even next to my PC-X500 (which takes some beating). I do like LL in general though, for their build quality, and use of aluminium, and I think the perforated front, and general look, of the V2000 is just class. This was what attracted me to the case initially.

I don't have any pics of mine at the moment, as it's awaiting arrivals for a new project, but this is a link to a build log on here that shows amply what I mean. I do prefer the original Lian Li brushed ally finish though.

P.S. I also really like the Antec 300 for exactly the same reasons that you have for the Centurion.

The Akasa eclipse 62.

Great space for a midi tower and an excellent slide out motherboard tray, component installation was very quick thanks to this, even with a large TRUE cooler. Liked it so much i bought one for each of my systems, one is now sitting empty as i changed to a lian li full tower.
