Yer unless you need protecting from other internal clients on the same LAN there is little to no point IMO, at least on personal networks.
There may be some use if you require outbound filtering though, for example the ability to block specific applications from making outbound connections. On a home network though, being behind both NAT and often router firewalls you are well protected against external attacks.
There are exceptions though obviously. If you were port-forwarding numerous services through NAT and the router firewall, you would probably want a host based firewall to offer additional filtering on the forwarded connections.
