Personal hotspot not working help

I want to connect my laptop to the net by using my iPhone 6 internet connection...it's not working....

I have turned the settings on the phone and connected the usb cable...but I can't connect ...nothing is seen in network settings to connect to the phone?

Please help

Why are you using a USB cable? Turn on the hotspot and connect your laptop to the phone by wifi.
