Personalised dvd/media database?

In the past I have seen that people on this forum have web based dvd databases. What software is involved in creating this?

Ideally I'd like to store dvds & cds that I own alongside films that I have seen at the cinema or on tv that I dont own to create my own catalogue of films and cds.

Any recommendations would be great.

The collectorz series are pretty good, you have a local database on your machine and then export it to html/xml works pretty well.

DVD profiler is good aswell, install the program, search for the dvd and then upload.
