I was just having a look at what kinds of personalised plates I could get for MAT and came across [ 1 MT ] for £225000 from an online store!!
They also do [ M477 HEW ] but that was POA... :p

So do any of you lot have your own plates and how much did you have to hand over for it, if anything?!

Edit: the DVLA has [ BL03 MAT ] for £799 which is tempting :D

I've got one and was quite cheap as it was an old style suffix one : ABC 15D. Paid c.£600 all in from DVLA auction.

Took me ages to get it released from DVLA as it was never issued - been wanting it for literally years and then had to gamble with it at an auction. I was only bidder, and if you knew the plate, you'd see why.

Had a look to see if MAT 113W has ever been released ? Not exactly want you may want, but gets the message across.

What's your surname ? Might be easier to get something with that on it. Mine is based on my surname and initials. Helps that my surname is only 4 letters long !

IMO private plates which aren't dateless are tacky unless they spell something or are appropriate to the car.

That said, I have a prefix style plate on retention.

My car has a northern irish plate on it which I've had for ages. It doesn't mean anything at such, but it does hide the age of a car - which is why I have it. :)

My M3's plate was 'M3 0 PF'.

It was a 3.0 and so I did plan to put a fixed screw between the 3 and 0 to make 'M3.0' but just decided to use the 0 as a spacer in the end.

PF are my initials so it looked pretty good. People always assumed because it said 'M3' on an M3 it was an expensive plate, but it wasn't!

My full initials are R S T.

So of course anything like B16 or B19 RST would be perfect for me, but no, Ford had to go and produce the RS Turbo and as such, any plate for me is stuck on either an S1 or S2............

heres my mates:

was only £250 :)

It was on the newreg website, at the bottom of the page.

It took a while for them to finally realease it, I remember e-mailing several times over 3-4 years before it was released for auction.

A friend of a friend at uni had P1MP B. His name was Ben IIRC. Now I'm not a fan of private plates but I thought that was cool!

I'm keeping my eye open for either...

A220 ROV

M220 AGW or

M220 TUB

Haven't decided which one yet. Not really bothered about hiding the age of the car though, hence why I'll probably stay with an M plate.

Been done before Andi :p

rG-Tom posted up 'K214 HGF' (or maybe it was K200)

I thought that was awesome :D

Got a good one for yours though... S555 AWD ;)

R200 HGF ;) But it'd have to go on a bubble shape

Did a search on that cherishedplates.com for [ MA77 HEW ] and it came back with...

"According to the information available at this time, this registration shall be issued for first registration on 1st September 2027.

The initials are to be issued for general circulation in Manchester."

lol

[ MAT 1 ] hasnt ever been registered tho according to that site...
