Not sure how close it is to the completed version, but gameplay wise it doesn't look much of a difference to PES' 08.

The players positioning at times still looks ******** ...

The tempo looks to fast and arcady.

It's not looking promising at all.

Konami are incompetent would be the report at this stage. :mad:

as much as i like the PES Series, this just looks the same to me, same animation, same graphics, with updated teams, and maybe a handful of new skills to do, shame really.

Yep sounds like FIFA is the one to get this year if it lives up to its promise, PES has stood still since 2005

PES takes the pizzle, people always moan about EA for releasing FIFA games every year (sometimes twice a year), but PES is worse - not only are there just as many releases, but the differences are mostly negliable to the casual player, and it doesn't even have official kits/teamsheets to update!

All you guys saying "roll on Fifa 09" - presumably you're talking about the console versions rather than the PC version? The PC version is still using the rubbish old PS2 engine albeit with better player models

Apparently, the WENB guys have played a newer build than what we are seeing with the Leipzig demos, and they have said the newer build is better, with the ball physics and slower considered gameplay improved with the newer build.

Perhpas there is still hope

Yeah, that is true.

But if Konami release that crap as what we have seen on the vids, especially with the criticism they had with '08, then they are so f*ck*d up.

And to be honest, the WENB guys would be slaughtering the game if that was the version they played in the videos ?
