PES 2008 ~ PS2 version the best?

I hated the PC version of this game because I felt it was too different from the ISS/PES series.
I never played the Xbox or PS3 version but I presume it looks and plays the same.

Yesterday I had to chance to play PES 2008 on the PS2 and boy I was blown away by its smooth controls and playbility factor.

Is the PS2 version the only version that is different from the rest or is it just me.

I'm thinking of picking this game up.

I've played PC, PS2, PS3 and 360 versions.

360 is by far the best, much smoother and I've found online play fine as well. only PITA is getting the option file onto it.

PS2 version to me was almost exactly the same as the last PES and you don't get the new funky menus.

thanks for the informative reply. it is very strange the same game can differ so greatly on every console at this day and age.

I don't have Xbox 360 atm, so I will pick up the PS2 version.
