PES 2009 Wii

Anyone else playing this? I've had it since release day and I'm finding it to be really good. I only really bought it to actually have something to play on the much under-used Wii that we have and I'm finding it a nice change of pace to footie games on the PS3.

Interestingly it seems to play an alright, almost completely lag free, game online. Why can't they manage this with the other versions?

I was going to pick this up but i was wondering if they had fixed the defence controls yet ?

I didn't play last years so I'm not really sure how they compare to be honest. I've been finding the learning curve pretty steep, but rewarding.

would you reccommend it to someone who doesnt really 'do' football? ie is it a good game in it's own right?

I believe that one of the cheap 4-letter supermarkets is doing this for under 20 notes at the moment. Can't really go wrong at that price anyway.

It is more difficult to pick up than most football games and I would probably think that you would need at least a passing interest in the game to enjoy it. It is quite tactical and in-depth.
