Rented this today, had a quick go and it seems good ;-)

just needs the kits/names updating etc! where is the best place to get a option file?

not tried it online yet, a friend on mine has told me he thinks the copy of PES 2009 is tied to your psn account! is this true? if it is I cannot play it online because I am renting it!

If your comment is suggesting that Fifa 09 is better, then you're wrong. Fifa 09 is awful, worse than 08. If you have played PES 2009 (have you?) then I can't see how anybody could think Fifa 09 is the better game.

Your deluded. I was firmly in the PES camp until this year. I even fought back how bad last years was. Pes09 is equally as bad as last years.

The fifa 09 game is like playing a game on a next gen console, the PES game is like playing on the original xbox in comparison. You can check mt GT to see the years and amount of time I put in on the last PES games.

The lag is still bad online and I couldn't even play a game against local UK players without the jumping.
 
Im another long time PES follower, but this year FIFA wins it for me. Like above, it does feel like your playing on a next gen console. FIFA isnt as fast as PES but to me it feels a lot more fluid than PES, the control and movement in PES, to me feels clunky. One thing I do like about PES is the Become a Legend mode, if FIFA's Be a Pro mode was like this it would be win all round!

A bold statement, Fifa is as carp as it ever was. PES is still awesome, plays like real football.

Edit: fifa 09 is actually pretty above averagely bad for a fifa game, everybody I have spoken to agrees.
I appreciate you'll probably just come back with 'i've played pes blah blah blah...' but if you play pes and get into it it has way more depth and a feel of actually playing football that fifa totally lacks. Fifa 09 (or any other fifa, though the later ps2/xbox versions were a laugh) just doesn't play like football, EA's marketing brainwashing will never overcome that hurdle.

Im the same, was hardcore ISS/PES fan but changed throughout FIFA 08 and now only play FIFA 09. I would probably still play PES to be honest but considering Konami have mucked up the online side of things so much since PES6 to the point where it isn't actually playable, its no longer an option for me.

I played over 1000 games on last years Pes and a good few on this years. I've already played it, I already know it's pap. Plays like real football? Forget PES and Fifa go and buy yourself some boots and play football.
 
Fifa this year, is miles better then Pro Evo.

No competition, PES doesn't even come close.
If you prefer to play PES then it's your loss :)
 
Yawn. The guy likes PES and is asking for an option file. Then the children get involved. Ask which console he's playing it on as well and then if it doesn't agree with your own purchase then you can denigrate that too. What fun. Does it not get just a little dull?
 
I have looked on pesfan, looks liked they have stopped doing there own option file due to licensing etc

and for info I have a PS3 and yeah I own a copy of Fifa09, just thought I'd give PES a go ;-)
 
Try evo web or pesgaming forums, thats where I got my option file from, takes a while to copy all the files over, but its worth it.

The guy that makes kitserver etc has actually stopped that's how bad pes is now.

Hopefully they wont mess up pes 2010 I enjoy fifa 09 on 360 but it still feels a bit spongey.
 
I've always been a PES-head, but I picked up FIFA 09 a few weeks ago. I rarely play PES now, I think FIFA is better, not by much but better. I seem to have more precise control in FIFA. PES 2009 is still very good though, and its still the favourite when the lads are round.
