PES 6 help

Hey, my flat has PES 6 for the PS2, and we're playing a league. I'm bottom so far and have conceded 14 goals

I know absolutely nothing about football but I have become accustomed to the players in my chosen team. Barcelona.

What would be the ideal formation to use, and which players in which position. My dribbling and passing is coming along, my shooting would be better if I could just get nearer the box.

Any other tips?

My main problem is that my flat mates are incredibly good, I am unable to use the mini-map effectively because it's a complete mess and it's not easy to distinguish between players. I tried and either run out of play or gave the ball away far too easily.

I have lost 5 and drawn 1 game now. and the draw was 0-0

Quite possibly the most frustrating game I have ever played.
