PES5 - Screen Tearing

Hey guys.

I'm planning to get PES6 in a few days, and until then my mate has given me PES5 to warm up with.

Thing is I am getting screen tearing in the game, despite setting the refresh rate override in applications to the same as my desktop in ATI's control panel.

Any ideas?

Should be an option in the drivers ,right click the ATI panel in the taskbar,it's in there somewhere mate

I would have thought the refresh rate override thing I referred to was the same thing?

It is is there somewhere Right click> 3d settings ? It's in the bit below where you chose quality settings & so

Can't quite remember,i'm using omega's & ATT for mine,so it's different

Is it recommended to have it on all the time? Or should I only turn it on before I play games that I see tearing in?

It's up to you, i have to use it for PES though both 5 & 6

anything that you get tearing on,it would certainly help, switch triple buffering on with it though,it's located somewhere near v-sync

I've seen triple buffering.

What does that do?

And what kind of hit will I get on my FPS from having Vsync on?

I have V sync enabled in ATI control panel and I still get tearing occasionally on PES6. V Sync seems to stopped all tearing in CSSource but still there in PES6

same here i get baaad tearing in PES 6 , used fraps to check frame rat eand its limited to 60 anyway

Using the Omega drivers and ATT I'm getting a lot of tearing on PES6 even with triple buffering and vsync turned on. Very annoying, triple buffering always sorted it out on PES5 when I was using Catalysts. Anyone had any luck eliminating it this time around?
