Is it me or is this game one of the worst looking football game to come out for a while?

The pitches look like they've been washed too many times, the crowd look dull, generic and when it goes up close to a player the crowd shows as its from far away, so there very blocky on zoom to an almost embarrassing level.

The players are lifeless and look like stick men with jaggered edges, shirt designs poor and plain, and players very rarely look like who they are supposed to be.

I'm also having issues with crackly sound and below average quality commentary playback, very tinny and just make you want to play on mute.

The editor also sucks, cant change team names (although does this unlock later?) which is daft since Manu & Arsenal have their full proper names.

The game feels more than rushed, and a huge let down.

I've been looking forward all xmas to play this game, and am absolutely gutted they way its been presented to me.

I'm a PES fan, and was delighted to hear they'd done a better job again than EA but its that bad, i cant bare to try and love it. I cannot imaging how crap Fifa is if all the reviewers reckon PES6 towers above it.

Anyone else feel letdown or am i being too harsh?

:( :(

I love it. Looks average to poor but the gameplay does tower above fifa. I rarely ever play it Sp because it's boring that way. Dull.

I only really play it MP and then its the best football game there has ever been.

I haven't played PES6 on the X360, but have on other platforms.

I have been a PES fan for all the years it has been around, but for me this year (hopefull only this year) I feel that FIFA spanks it.

I hate Fifa, but am considering taking this back and exchanging it.

No doubt i will have to pay about £10 more for the privilege, but i just cant bring myself to play it.

The sound is whats really miffing me, it actually grates on me.

I wonder if i have grounds to ask for a full refund. probably not.

Probably the most addictive game ive had on the 360 yet. Sometimes i cant be arsed to get stuck into cod3 or gow when i go to bed at night, so i'll play a game of pro instead. Soon turns into 3/4 games.

Great game :)

From a non-gameplay point of view, it's the worst PES yet. It looks terrible for a Xbox 360 game and it's missing a number of features.

However, on the pitch it's the best PES yet. Thankfully, they got the gameplay right at the first attempt. Give it a chance and you'll be impressed. I've gotten over the fact that I've got to play as "North East London" and it's easily my favourite game on the 360. :)

FIFA looks much better and feels good at first, but it's so shallow and I got bored of it very quickly.

I love it. Agree though that an editor would be good and the ability to save replays. More leagues would have been good. Most annoying is the way that the defence always seems to get the better of everything, e.g when you are running they always catch up, no matter which players are involved. I know they are just trying to keep it so the scores stay realistic, they should do so realistically, not using cheap methods to achieve this.

My only problem is i've never scored from a free kick and I've yet to have anyone score one against me too. They are too tough imo. So instead of letting a player go one on one with my keeper on the 80th minute I will cut the attacker in half. Get sent off and give away a direct free kick that I know they won't score from. Then protect my lead or draw.

Scored two, both offline against a mate. (Thats out off about 100 though). Virtually impossible online due to lag affecting the bar speed. It also seems that each player takes them differently to each other and then occasionally they change their style as well.

I hit the bar today for the first time ever using the D pad to curl the ball. Nearest I've ever got. I prefer the fifa sweetspot for taking freekicks and corners. I think that works better than constantly blasting over the bar.

In about 240 games on-line I have scored one total screamer of a free kick, fair old distance out and pile driven into the top corner.

That though is my only successful direct free kick and only had four scored against me so far, although I am only div 3 and playing other teams from that level so there may be more successes higher up the leagues where the better players hang out.

No. Yes it could have been better looking, but it's so stonkingly good to play that I can forgive it missing a feature here and there. Those will be added in the next version I'm sure. I got promoted to Div 1 without playing a game. :)

Thinking i might stick with it for a couple of weeks, try and get in to it, will have to play it on mute, and skwint my eyes.

stick with it, its different from 5, no more screaming shots imo

but i find free kicks decent and have scored quite a lot, and im not that good at the game

does anyone know why the green lights on my pad keep spinning round?

Does that mean the batteries are dying?
