PES6, a letdown? (360)

Yes they are.

Cheers.

Just changed the batteries, and its going off.

Probably not charged, should, be there were in the charged pot, but one coincidence that has just sent the shivers up me.

So can i confirm, this is what the pad does when the batts are running out?

Thanks.

My only problem is i've never scored from a free kick and I've yet to have anyone score one against me too. They are too tough imo. So instead of letting a player go one on one with my keeper on the 80th minute I will cut the attacker in half. Get sent off and give away a direct free kick that I know they won't score from. Then protect my lead or draw.

I scored a nice free kick with Ronaldinho using the dpad today online against some chap...maybe i just got lucky(only had the game for 2 days).

I agree, i love the gameplay and the graphics aint that bad, much better than the PS2 version(i got both)..

Yes, the lights on the pad will spin.

Cheers, thanks for the double confirmation.

You know i couldn't find out on the 360 support site, or in the manual about this, silly, or am blind, either way, thank god nowts knackered. :)

yep, the lights spin when the batteries are running low.

and pes 6 is my favourite yet. and to be honest, the sound is the best yet (except the commentart which is the same pap from pes 5)

Do people think the game may look rougher using a VGA cable and through a cheap TFT (see sig) like mine, compared to comp through a decent HDTV?

My only real gripe is like the Op says, the sounds is abysmal. It wasn't so bad running through the TV, but since I got 5.1 in the bedroom I've had to turn the commentary off, as it was so tinny and crackly.

It's a completely new engine so in many senses its a new game.

But the lack of the edit feature is inexcusable.

Unfortunately the 360's sound at the moment isnt the best as its running from the VGA cable using the 3.5mm jack, plugged into on-board sound on my PC, then back out using a 3.5m to phono cable, which has an extension on it, then into my Marantz amp.

So by default games arn't brimming, usually its the low bass that breaks up, i have to turn all the games setting down to get a better sound, but that doesn't even work wit this game.

Going to buy a phono extenion lead and have it direct to amp, cut out the middle man, just haven't got round to it yet.

Edit: Sorted the sound, turned line-in on my computer right down, and still kept it down on the game, cheesy, slightly tinny, but its stopped the crackling making the game playable with sound on.

Adjusted the colours in game as well, brought life to it a bit, and stopped being the crappy no brand teams in the EPL, and went over to spain, with real strips the game looks so much better.

NUFC dont even have B&W stripes FFS  :(

So, am overcoming my shock, a little, i just need to find a pitch that isn't in greyscale and am sorted. Which is the most green pitch on the game?

Also will messing about with the resolution help? (lowering it) Am going to give it a whirl tomorrow, maybe this game is supposed to be played at low res?

The players heads kind of remind me of an old PC game called Flashback at certain angles during the game.

Fantastic back in the early 90's when Mr Motivator was strutting his stuff, not so fancy in 2007

having played this for the 1st time a few days ago, i can pretty much mirror it with Michael Jackson, both play amazing, but look jagged, unrealistic and not at all human :(

Fifa looks good, now PE6 Engine + Fifa-esque Graphics (Which we all hope the PE7 people will have in thier heads!) Would be amazing!

Although the PES graphics aren't the best (a step up for sure), this years FIFA iteration has grotesque player models. After playing the demo extensively, the gameplay is better but still not good enough. But we couldn't contain ourselves after seeing the faces, which look like like rubber masks that have had a candle taken to them.

VGA on a TFT is miles better than anything else which is not a HDTV. There are people on this forum that use that screen with the 360 and are happy with it.
